I also loved the shift in tone during the fight. The arc just isn’t complete without that! To me, the kill is meaningless, especially since once again, Freeza is back anyways. He was robbed of the kill in the end, but you know Toriyama/Toei need to write in the obligatory fucking over of Vegeta. Vegeta had every chance to gloat in Frieza’s face, or brag about getting his revenge, but instead he keeps his cool and just does what needs to be done. Vegeta getting so fucked up by Freeza was so painful to watch, and Vegeta finally gets a chance at HIS revenge. Vegeta debuting his SS Blue form and beating the shit out of Freeza was so satisfying to watch, but what I really loved about this moment was how Vegeta was do calm and collected Vegeta was during the beatdown. Here’s what happened to every Z-Warrior in Trunks’ future. My favorite moment in all of Dragon Ball Super.

Through the Future Trunks Saga and the character’s flashbacks in Dragon Ball Z, the anime has established a detailed backstory for his timeline.

Instead, they created a different timeline, which was later revisited in Dragon Ball Super. Though they managed to stop what transpired in Trunks’ future from happening to them, they weren’t actually able to undo anything. Related: Dragon Ball Z: Every Z-Warrior Goku Fought (& What Happened)

Thanks to Trunks’ warnings, the Z-Warriors were able to properly prepare themselves for their arrival, but a few big changes occurred on account of Trunks’ tampering with the timestream, with one of the biggest being Cell following him from the future to absorb the androids. It was because of the androids Trunks had to use Bulma’s time machine to come to the present and prevent them from emerging. Several of the characters were casualties of the evil creations of Doctor Gero, Android 17 and Android 18.įuture Trunks comes from a version of the future where the Earth was devastated by the ruthless killing sprees of the two androids. In his timeline, nearly every Z-Warrior is dead. Most of Dragon Ball Z’s heroes met sad ends in Trunks’ post-apocalyptic future.
